Seismic Micro-Technology's Flagship Interpretation Module
2d/3dPAK is the industry leading Windows -based seismic interpretation software package. With 2d/3dPAK interpreters create and interpret horizons and faults on in-lines, crosslines, and arbitrary lines. The creation and management of horizons and faults is intuitive as well as efficient. Interpreted horizons are autopicked with newly improved algorithms and can be converted to depth. Well log data are displayed on seismic sections in time or depth. Formation tops are interpreted between wells on vertical displays or gridded over the project area. Alternate seismic data types, including depth, are interpreted with equal ease.

Data are analyzed with a variety of tools including animations, horizon and volume attribute calculators, mistie analysis, phase rotation, filtering, and trace attributes. Other features include integration of borehole information, gridding, and contouring of both seismic and well data.

With newly added functionality, interpreters can now set up a project with all major map projections and datums that a domestic or international working area requires. Interpreters also have the choice of maintaining map and depth annotation in English or Metric. All of this takes place in an integrated, multi-user, multi-authored, networked environment.
 

Horizons

  • Interpret horizons using upgraded picking algorithms in time or depth; arbitrary lines, in- lines, and cross-lines

  • Define autopicking parameters for seismic events, time windows, amplitude threshold, correlation threshold, and choice of stopping at fault surfaces

  • Interpret and extract amplitude information from any supported attribute volume

  • Calculate horizon attributes: phase, frequency, envelopes, Hilbert transform and four other attributes dynamically

  • Generate a filled surface with improved 3D hunt capabilities

  • Autoscroll windows in active interpretation and selection mode

Faults

  • Interpret faults in time or depth, using in-lines, cross-lines, arbitrary lines, and time or depth slices

  • Create fault polygons manually or automatically on base map

Well Data

  • Import data directly from all major vendors

  • Enter and view deviation surveys, including sidetracks and horizontal wells

  • Import and display formation tops, log curves, fault cuts, synthetic seismograms, perforations, cores, production data, and shows

  • Import local and regional time-depth charts and select per well

  •  Adjust the time-depth chart to automatically update and display well information

  • Apply amplitude and scaling to synthetic seismograms

  • Use well query to create and display well subsets based on numerous data categories

  • Import deviation data by MD/inclination/azimuth

  • Create well symbols using the borehole symbol library

 

Contours and Grids

  • Create contour maps honoring fault polygons

  • Specify contour parameters; interval, annotation, smoothing, and more

  • Edit contour lines interactively

  • Overlay contours calculated from different surfaces and seismic attributes

  • Display multiple contour sets on the same base map

  • Create a color raster map honoring the contours using the contour fill option

  • Create grids using multiple data types as control points

  • Select gridding algorithm on data density
