General Description

The MP-18 is a small, piezoelectric crystal transducer for use in shallow borehole studies and VSP applications. The MP-18 has high output and high capacitance, and negligible change of sensitivity with depth. Maximum working depths are from 200 to 1000 feet. Operating temperature is from 0 - 35 deg. C.

The MP-18 has an acceleration cancelling, balanced crystal configuration. The crystals are in a molded polyurethane case, with an optional protective aluminum cover.
